Knights of Columbus

The Knights of Columbus were founded in 1882 and have 1.8 million members worldwide. It is a fraternal order of Catholic men dedicated to the ideals of Charity, Unity, Fraternity and Patriotism. The Knights serve the Church through charitable community works and a wide variety of activities and events to bolster St Stephen Parish’s strong sense of community as well as assist other ministries.

St. Augustine Council of the KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS serves the St. Augustine Catholic Community. Knights of Columbus, Council 4503 was chartered January 1958. Our Council is growing with approximately 82 members.

Membership

Membership is open to any practicing Catholic man who is in union with the Holy See and who is at least 18 years of age. The Knights are a great opportunity to get together with other men in the parish, form new friendships, share family experiences and deepen our faith. We volunteer our time and talents for the good of the parish as the Spirit moves us. Your time commitment is totally voluntary.

Meetings

Meetings are open to any member of the Knights of Columbus,  and take place on the third Thursday at St. Augustine Parish.

Scholarships

1.  Alberta and NWT (State Scholarship Alberta and NWT) is due May 31 each year.
2.  Ponoka 4503 Local Scholarship is due September 30, for children or grandchildren of Knights from Council 4503
3.  St. Augustine Catholic School Outstanding Student (s) of the Year Scholarship
